It's also been a few years since I have had a surf at Blackrock off Booderee NP too, ok, ok, ok, Im coming down south for a couple of weeks next summer.

PS: That Gaastra sail looked real nice, which one is it? Board looks to be a nice shape too, who made that one for you?

It is filmed with a goPro 960 with obvious fogging issues. I need to learn how to keep it unfoggy om warm days.

C'mon - tha sail is an ancient gaastra kept alive with sticky tape. The board is an F2 rebel which is not that old.

The waves were smallish and the wide angle makes it even smaller. I'm holding out for some real waves to see how that works with the wide angle.

The bass is a 5 string warwick corvette with a bit of exciter to get the brilliance in the sound.

RE fogging on the inside of the Gopro it will happen every time if you live in a humid climate, as the inside of the case heats up when the camera is in use, condensation forms on the glass lens due to the temperature differential. Toilet paper will do nothing to solve this, what you need is silica gel. You can get it from those little packs you find in a new box of shoes but you'll have to ghetto modify it to fit it in the case.

Luckily Gopro have realised this problem and have a solution which is avail in the seabreeze shop or from gopro etc, see below.

I'm pretty certain a fridge doesn't contain dry air. The airconditioning pumps very dry air into the casing, dropping the humidty and therefore when the casing hits water and cools, there isn't any condensation on the lens.

I did this and got two hours of fog free videoing on Jan 2nd - so it can work. I will still invest in some of the strips though - nothing more annoying than getting bad video quality!

Those "moisture munchers" are the only way to keep underwater housings fog free. Yes, you can place them near the air con vent in your car on the way to the beach but I believe a combo of both works much better.
