Going to be in Hua Hin Thailand over Christmas period. Just wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge of windsurfing in Hua Hin. Can see kitesurfing is popular in the area, so assume the windsurfing options might be available. Otherwise I'll have to resort to sitting on the beach with the in-laws drinking cheap beer!

I moved to Pranburi/Hua Hin early this year for the wind & incredible scenery - still organizing my gear from Oz but it's a windfoil, windsurf & surfski paradise here
most people on kites or wings, but that is mainly about logistics of transport & storage, plus kites are way easier through shorebreak and over jjunk in the water - but plenty of foils out despite the extra challenges
windsurfers more common over at Jomtien, Amara shop & school
Xmas is monsoon season, breeze NE 10-25 knots from what I'm told, cross on, swell, and decent shorebreak - most beaches shelve gradually, so fin better than foil for launch - I will be out there by then on a variety of setups
so in summary it is an epic windsurf spot - for you, just the usual windsurf holiday challenges of lucking the weather, having the right gear, and getting it to the beach - would you BYO kit? you fin or foil or both?
kiting has so many advantages, but just not my thing!!
