I noticed the local yachties have decide to lobby the BOM for another weather station that reflects the local conditions better than Cooranbong. As I said in another post it was blowing 25-35kts S at Valentine & registering about 5kts at Cooranbong.[}:)] The yachties are saying its dangerous....Anyway it would be great if we could get one at Coal point or Belmont bay so contact the BOM & have your say. The more complaints / suggestions the more likely something might be done.
I was going to put the BOM"s email address but I couldnt find it..?

Its possible to set up your own weather station and to feed the data to Seabreeze and set up a website displaying data from the station.

Maybe the yachties should start putting their energy into this rather than lobbying the BOM. Could the skiff club at Belmont be a reasonable place for a weather station?

The cost of a weather station is around $2000. You need to connect it to a computer, probably running Windows and have an Internet connection.

Here is a screenshot of one I set up a few years ago. Its still working well.

The Skiff club already has a weather station. Just contact them.

..! Would they mind being rung everytime someone wants to go sailboarding..?
I wonder if that could be used for BOM or Seabreeze?
