Hi, flew over from ireland yesterday (a particular nightmare journey) and my board arrived with this crack beside the rail. It is a fanatic skate BGS (black fibreglass i think).
I was wondering will sanding it down and running some resin in do the job or will it need a proper repair.

Can anyone recommend a good board repairer in the mid north coast/ newcastle area.

Thanks, Tom

Just aqua need it and sand it back (provided there's no cracking up the rail). IDE be more concerned about the fact they glued money to it.....weird.

Hi Tom, great to hear you're back. Give Glen a call on 0431737624, he's done some work for Gabe and myself and does a really good job. He's about 10 min north of Forster/Tuncurry on the main road.

Welcome back Tom - Bummer about the crack in your SKATE. get your pride and joy fixed right and see Glen - he may have a waiting list so do a quick job just to seal her up so you don't miss any water time.

Looking fwd to a sail with you again - come up to Harry's in a southerly and relive that Sandy point feeling :-)

windsurftom probably sold a grouse estate in Ireland and converted his euros to Aussie dollars and that is what he got

He probably stuck it to his board to try to smuggle it through customs

Wait until he finds out all he can use it for here is 1/60,000th share in a broken 1997 Daihatsu Charade

Can't even buy a tube of solarez epoxy to smear over the crack

Is Harrington a pain to launch?

Yes. Whether you walk out the wall to the beginning of the sandbank to rig, or rig on the grass and climb down the wall, it is a pain - but worth it.

The latter is probably more useful here.
The former would have no rims on it after 5mins unattended in WA
