If they had a two board/three sail rule in the PWA, then it would encourage less financial sailors like slowboat to HAVE A GO.
2/3 combo just makes it impossible for the small guys. The +100kg would just register 9.5, 8.6, 7.8 and hang on to the 7.8 forever and just destroy everyone.
Actually there was a big discussion about going to IFCA rules of 2 boards, 4 sails last year at the PWA AGM, however it was decided that people actually buy MORE boards and take MORE gear to events to make sure they had the right combo.
At the IFCA Worlds in Greece a few weeks back, Bora (TUR-11) took 5 boards and every single sail AND a caddy, so he could have the right setup. Urgghhh.
3/6 combo seems to be working ok. I only registered 5 sails and to be honest only used 3 sails all season during the racing! But it was an unusual year for wind on the Tour.
