arm pump issue

Hi all,

i'm somewhat of a new foiler. just wondering why i get arm pump so easily. I do 1 run (going out and back) and I already get arm pump to where i can't even hold my wing. is this normal or am I just weak haha. love any tips for improvement.

Get a harness if you don't have one.

Sounds like you may be overgripping the boom (or handles) - squeezing much more than is necessary to control the power.). Try gripping with your thumbs on the same side as your fingers rather than wrapping them around the other side. If that helps, then that was your problem.

It can also be a problem if you wear gloves that are a bit thick or you wetsuit is very tight in the forearms.
