Killer whales have never been known to attack humans in the wild. Even in pools they have really only ever attacked out of frustration or direct anger towards trainers.

I was once in the water of Secret Harbour (back in its glory days of just dunes and beach) when a pod swam past maybe 100 mtrs away. Really funny to see as there fins were jet black and huge. We thought they must have been mutant Dolphins at first but when the Helicopter started to film them we thought something else. Anyway my mate and i made the evening news

Worst part was we had ditched his granddads funeral as it was too depressing so we were completely busted by our parents

I would love to see them, they have been spotted off the west end of Rotto quite a lot.

What frightens me is Seals. They are nasty little pricks and can do some serous damage too

i agree!! never can trust seals the little suckers ,surfed a remote seal colony north at the beagle islands this year .sometimes 30+ surounded the dinghy scary stuff when your just trying to go for a surf

We went for a dive with them a few months ago. These suckers were very inquisitive and not aggro at all. NSW vs WA seals I spose. WA seals must be highly strung due to all the whites :)

There was a big pod up exmouth way this year, locals said it was unusual for them to hang around for as long as they did (a couple months) Mate of mine has footage of the pod killing a humpback calf and then rubbing the carcass up aginst his boat.

It was a bad season for whale shark diving due to the Orcas eating them and the sharks bolted out to sea ,the tour operator told me.

they are the only known predator of the GWS so bring em on!

I saw footage of a charter and the Orcas were attacking a mother and calf. All the punters on the boat were crying and cheering on the mother whale but sadly the boat turned quiet when she gave up and the Orcas one That was maybe one trip the tourists won't forget

My favourite quote
It was the Law of the Sea, they said. Civilization ends at the waterline. Beyond that, we all enter the food chain, and not always right at the top.

Came back from rottnest today and saw about 5 different whales on the 25 minute trip, they are every where. Didn't pay enough attention to what type, just assumed they were humpbacks although one jumped fully out of the water, amazing creatures

"We didn't get any fish because they scared everything away" lol I don't think shark alarm and Perth are very concerned with how much fish you got buddy .

Maybe there is something in these Orcas that are of the coast. Seems all the white shark sighting shave dropped of slightly
