1st big swell
yeah I'd pay to be there and see it one the first big onshore howler
Wasn't it just last week that the state government was crying poor and looking to up our taxes to cover their previous mis-expenditures?
And how is Cheshire Barnett still our Premier?.
It will never happen, it would have to be 10-15m above the water. I hope they build it so we can watch it get destroyed lol

Its private development. The fact they say it will be completed by next November is what has me concerned, thats fast
Lets hope the group are not friends of Barnet, or you could see this thing rushed through like all his other silly projects..
It is open for public consultation, if people are against it i suggest you make a submission
This couldn't get the required environmental approvals unless the minister pushed it through. Very expensive and tricky to build to withstand the Winter swells. Water and sewage will be big ticket items, approval wise.
Its definitely going to interfere with the NW swell getting into Cove... i say BOOOO!!!!

I don't think the waves and weather will be a serous detraction. They build piers into surf zones all the time. Also i would think of Cottesloe they would even find some solid ground with reef and rock structure to help secure it, build from.
I cant imagine the local business would be in favour, also a few older locals may be against their ocean view being changed
Personally i don't like it, but was curious is anyone supported the idea
Is their a better location.
I actually did like the original Fremantle North Port Island development plans. I believed it would be good, but i never believed it would get of the ground.
That's going to upset Legion.
is that his local? he wouldnt get much water time if it is lol
You may even get a build up of sand stretching from the reef north of cove out to the pier, creating a long right hand point break type wave.
