I raced home from the evils of the City and the office early this arvo and got home to this....an epic session - best since xmas and probably the swell of the summer by a mile....I should have taken a few more but decided to spend the time in the ocean. I love East Coast Lows

My local still had a few good ones coming through, long rides, but I had to bail out early from at least 2 good ones just before the best section because I had the sun right in my eyes and I simply could not see the SBs inside.

I'm thinking about getting some disposable contacts at my next checkup. Provided I don't open my eyes underwater, they'll probably stay in for a session.

OBCT, I was there today too, not surfing, due to having stitches in my foot at the mo, but it was good to watch for an hour or so.

Michael.

I agree!!!

You are up early - hoping to get the jump on the rest of them out the back of the pool this morning? Just checked the buoys and their still should be some fun sized ones coming through with the period remaining around 12 seconds and the size has not dropped too much!!! Game on!! I am hitting the road for the long drive now.....

Not up early, just a very poor sleeper.

Just got a referral for a sleep study at the insistence of the trouble and strife.

No problems opening eyes under water with disposable contacts. After health insurance my contacts cost 60 cents per day and I only use them on surfing days and throw them away. So much better with them in.

Or do what I did, I had laser surgery on my eyes. Unbelievable difference to your surfing. No more getting smashed inside when the big bombs come through

Hope you all got some water time today....south coast one day mission was worth the drive. Knackered and have rashes everywhere from too much paddling. Will post some pics if I ever make it home

I considered it but I was told it only last for about 10 years and then you're back to where you started from.

I'm going to wait as long as possible, maybe even 65 before I have a go at it.

Had a funny surf today, I rushed from work to my local for a late one, got there, looked okay, opened the back of the car, no short john, and no boardies, they were at home drying.

I was desperate for a wave so I scratched around and found a scummy old pair of Budgy smugglers so I threw them on along with a rashy and went out.

Ended up having a very enjoyable session but I must have looked a sight because I have this really distinctive high tide mark just above my knees where it turn from a nice brown to a pasty white with these ugly assed hairy legs.

Buggered if I was going to miss a surf wetty or no wetty.

Yeah thats a pretty fair assessment about the laser surgery. I got it done in 2003 and Ive just gone and got some glasses for watching tv but other than that its still much, much better than before.
