Sorry guys I was not trying to break any rules or start a bidding war just ideas on what is the best way to sell it. I just thought this forum would have the experts to give me an idea of what it is worth and sell through seabreeze or some other method. I will pick it up on the weekend and post pics by Sunday night. Thanks to a few of you who suggested (through mail) a number will be on the board near the decal and that will help determine year and shaper.

Looking forward to seeing this board. Will be interesting to see who actually shaped it. Bob used to ride for Keyo and shape for them as well. Nat, Midget and Geoff McCoy were also team riders and shapers there before heading out on their own. Seems they are now made by his son in law (for the last 12 yrs). I reckon its safely worth at least $1k and if its in super duper shape and original condition I think you can expect a bit more.

Yes well they are amazing how they can vary and the stories they can tell. Length and thickness and shape obviously are important also fin type. Whether the fin is original or replaced or even moved is a massive part. Also if it has a gel coat covering the whole board can deter alot of buyers as it could be a horror show under the board. Dings or repairs, i think they add to the story and the mystery of the board but depends on how they r repaired, for example i had a board that has WOOD FILLER IN IT for its ding repairs, but its awesome:)

Post up some photos of it standing up so we can see the shape, show us the fin, any other major issues, also its size and if the rails are super fat or 50/50 or a bit knify :)

Well see what we can dig up :) finding info on a board by its serial is really rare to be honest. Apparently Hayden is the only company that kept records like what year and even who shaped it :) deff worth a try with MR Keyo though.

Side bite plugs pigs arse . Get it restored with a new fin. They go like dogs most of them but come up nice restored properly.

Spazz I think it was an original D fin but hacked out to form another. Have a close look at it. You can see its been ground out to form more of a raked fin. The board itself looks ok though and would be worth getting restored.

Very true. Im not use to seeing fins hacked out and look that good. Most of them look like a blind person did them :) would love to restore it, really nice gel coat on it

I just checked the fin out and it looks like it was replaced and so is not the original fin, well done BigSpazz I never really noticed before. The board is approximately 300 cms long.
