Hi all
After a very long hiatas from learing to surf, and never really completing the journey I have elected to dive back in . Spurred on by my sons (8rs old) enthusiasm, I am seeking some advice.
Where on the Sunny coast and Gold Coast / Nth NSW are the pick spots to learn.
Spent last weekend a Happy's on the SSC for a few hours
Any advice is appreciated,

cheers

I wont tell you the best place on the goldie to learn because it is way over crowded with learners.
Go somewhere quit and uncrowded, you will sacrifice wave quality but you will catch more waves and be hassle free.

One tip, surf at high tide it slows the drop down until you find your feet.
Get out there and enjoy the ride, its a great lifestyle.

PS read the news on the young kid 10yrs who had his skull smashed by a beginner at the Pass Byron Bay. Nasty stuff.

Thank 62Mac
Appreciate the comments.
I can see how at the "Pass" someone could get hurt.
Crowds and big boards and in experiece would not mix.
As for the wave at high tide.. thanks
I will also avoid the shore dump as well

Would this be better

Cheers
