C'mon Andy...don't worry about that. It's not like its something that stops any of the hordes that are already there. Come and join in on the fun. There's plenty of other places to surf around here too.

We might even next year as we wont be heading overseas for our leave with the extra bub... Only problem, Tassie is a pretty damn good place to be during the summer and we're more likely to head up to escape the winter... but you never know

that is such an awesome week....I did a few boards for the event way back when it was in its infancy.....I got an entry into the event as well....didn't even get out of my heat, but it didn't matter...the river mouth was just going off for the whole event.....I surfed it every day, solid six feet, while the comp was experiencing perfect two to three.......I went back up with the family in 2002, we stayed in little cove did not drive the car the whole time, walked into town for a feed....I was up pre dawn every day....short walk to little cove and not more than a dozen strokes and I was into the take off at first point for an hour before they started....I was fortunate to get to the finals in my division and worked out that I had surfed perfect first point for around a couple of hours with just five guys out(plus the hour every dawn that was a bit wild but very rewarding).....the entry fee back then was $70 dollars.....I thought it was fantastic value.....I think I caught more waves than my Indo trips , it was one of the best holidays have had......great to see its still going strong.
