Welcome dotcom, after reading a lot of dribble its my turn to dribble as well. There are some really good shapers out there besides buying a Mact just look at danelis board for example and i have another brand as well like danelis that you don't see in the surf shops.it is definately a big decision for you which way to go but if you follow mac and myself and you buy a board and it doesn't do it for you, sell it and try again. There could be something wrong with me but i've had around 8 different boards in the last year and have at this stage settled on my new quiver. The guys you read about are all good blokes, trust me if they were wankers i'd say so.Now BB you be nice to Mac
Fully agree with asea. There are some very good boards out there and any shaper/retailer worth their salt will have demos - if they don't then go somewhere else cos not having demos is not acceptable in todays market with the high prices of boards and amount of competition for business that there is. Of course not everyone is gunna have every board in every dimension but they should have boards that will be close to what you may be looking for and it will at least give you an idea of how that board will feel and you can then work out yourself how suitable it is for you if you add or take out a bit of volume to suit.
Morning guys, some very good points being made, thanks ASEA and BB, not too sure there are too many shapers over here that are parked on the beach and let you demo their boards, maybe I haven't looked hard enough or maybe Doggie could let me know.
I do have a
brand new board that is being repaired but have gone from Yee hah to F..k my brown dog

in the space of 3 very short weeks (sorry about that Doggie)
