I booked and paid on Monday 12 March, and it was dispatched on Monday 23 April. Exactly 6 weeks "plus postage". Pretty good turn around! I'm happy with that.

bah-basic machines, you guys ought to get a load of dales cnc machine. it can cut anything.

bus and car moulds, rubber oc seats. normal surfboards and pre cut pvc foam planks on suction caps. full block foam on a roughly 5 x2 m table. does a full 12'6 board easy.

the bus moulds are cut in a series of foam slabs, glued together, a bit of sanding and bang, there's your back end of a bus ready to be glassed

longer boards the joints a perfect. thats how he can tint really longer two piece foam planks boards. other machines leave you with big gaps and lots of expanding foam fill

the thing can open up the tooling box, put away tooling bit away, then pickup another one.

i never get bored watching it - truly amazing.

aku's are very good

Any rough idea how much these cost out of interest? PM me if easier. I will never buy one or compete with DC but wd be fascinated to learn their relative cost.

Good question Ted, got me interested, and google has come through.

I don't know about DC's, sounds very good and hence expensive but Aku for the full package software and machine is about 70k plus shipping etc.

It works out to 80k if they set it up for you.
