Yeh it was a monster. I bought it with it already on. My father in law, who was a panelbeater, said to keep it, as there was nothing between us and anything else out the front (especially elephants). Aaahh the memories.
I'll believe it when I can walk into a showroom and give the tires a kick.
They've been rolling out those same concept car pics for a good 4 or 5 years with all sorts of promises, and I reckon that what you get in a showroom won't be the same as those pics.
For a start that guys says there will be 4 x conventionally hinged doors, look at the pics, if those rear doors are conventionally hinged, then they're suicide doors.
It tests the patience when it takes an hour or 2 to unsieze everything after weeks of un use. But it makes you feel good blasting along with the roof open. LOVE that grey wagon = they were everywhere when I was a kid, haven't seen one for ever. Anyone got a Renault 12? Kids next door when I was about 15 had one each. Don't think they exist anymore.
Bristol said.. I don't know how "classic" you'd consider this car - my mini at Lennox Heads, 1969. I've still got that board, a Gordon Woods V-bottom, 8'7"
Nice surf that day, and only one other out. How things have changed.
Gold for sure, great old pic .Yep the old Brick(Mini) is definitely an old classic, used to nik my sisters one and go down the coast when she wasn't using it
