Wow mate - that looks like a 56 or something Porsche

Porsche 356 Speedster?

Sorry to be pedantic..... it could be either, a Speedster or a Roadster, just can't quite tell from that angle and the board is obscuring the windscreen.

Porsche built Speedsters from 1954-1957 as A-series cars...it was marketed as a "drive to the racetrack and compete" car. Very basic, very affordable (at the time).
In 1958 the Speedster was phased out, but the same body became the Convertible D which had roll-up windows, a taller, squared off windshield, and a more substantial convertible top.
In 1959 Porsche introduced the B-series. Headlights and bumpers were now higher and the new D replacement was dubbed Roadster. It continued the move away from the Speedster's simplicity by adding to the D's amenities.
Not to confuse things, but through the A,B, and C series cars, Porsche also made a Cabriolet. The Cab was a more appointed convertible.
A quick way to tell the difference among all these cars is the windshield. Speedsters had low, rounded-top, removable windscreens with chrome frames. Convertible Ds and Roadsters had higher, squared-top, removable windshields, also with chrome frames. But Cabriolets had the higher, squared windscreens with frames attached to (and painted the same color as) the body.
Speedsters 1954-1957; Convertible D's 1958 only; Roadsters 1959-1963; Cabriolets 1953-1965.

Cool B&B ,the old P76,looks like she's in nice nik.The mega rare one of those is the "Targa Florio".It came first in stage at the Targa Florio endurance race in the 70s which made a lot of other car manufacturers sit up and take notice, the V8 manual is the rarest to find!..

Yes, I'm fully aware that there is no board, but after our surf yesterday morning, MR told me how much he enjoyed delivering his last dissertation on the Porsche marque, so I though it would be nice to give him another one that may require him to break out the panty liners

Wonder how many movie starts this model killed it looks fast and furious jimmy dean.

Nah,he would have put the 327 in or someone did,it was a popular swap back then, coool though

The 327 Chev motor was first optioned in the 1968 HK Monaro only,It worked because they won Bathurst in 1968,1st 2nd and 3rd

The old cars had more ground clearance. I used to get my HK to all sorts of places the missus's commodore can only dream about.

That's a good effort. The track doesn't look like it is in much better condition than today.
