The mammoth 16 page thread that Teacake started back in 2013 has expired and forever lost.
Version 2.0 is required in the originals absence.
Post up your photos that you've been taking.

I'll start, a few from the ADF surf champs last week.

Navy won every division; shortboards, longboards, chicks and SUP's (I won that ).

Nice shot ted. It's no longer a church, can't see a cross?

Couple of pics from my dearly departed Lumiz FZ150, I've now upgraded to the FZ200 but havn't taken any pics yet. Only battery tested for the soloshot = 4hr 37 min haha

Creek Meets the Ocean in The Great Southern

Posted this before in the old thread, pics don't do this place justice. Overcast sky & 3/4 quality reduction of file size to enable upload don't help either but I love it. Such a rugged beautiful corner of out great land.

Phone Pics

A couple of phone pics taken with my old 4yr old Nexus S I just upgraded to a cheap moto e 2nd gen. Loved that old phone but the new cheapy feels blazing fast. Not a phone cam upgrade though I don't think but will see in a few weeks.

This is SE Izu Peninsular Japan, that land that sticks out under Tokyo. Surprisingly super quiet countryside with awesome lonely roads that would be great for motorbike races apart from the fact you would most likely die from falling down into a few hundred meter gully if you made a mistake.

First pics a hot water onsen bath looking out 2 the twin islands there & second pic looks across the bay to that spot with Mt Fuji in the background. I took an amazing photo from that vantage point with the FZ150 but all the photos & video from that trip were lost to a hard drive failure. Will just have to do the trip again.

Wasn't easy trying to get this as it was about 50 meters in the air and I was trying to follow it, focus and shoot.

I think I got the shot but.

Combination of work, raining when I wanna film & being out of the water since Wed last week due to a neck injury from getting catapulted & snapping my neck to the side. Was waking up dizzy up until yesterday. Still not quite there, but almost recovered. Might be back in the water this weekend if I'm feeling up for it....Otherwise we're off to central euro in 3 weeks & I'll take some nice landscapes then....btw correction on the battery test. I remembered wrong, its 2hrs 47mins. But still a lot better than 2hrs 10 min I was getting with the FZ150

Also got that 4k gopro ripoff to mount on my gath helmet for some POV video.

Just out of interest Mick were you wearing your gath when you hurt your neck?

No mate...got catapulted off a sucky double up & twisted in the air throwing my board away. Then landed on my side after falling about 12 foot.

I did hurt my neck the last time I wore it about 11 years ago in a similar situation only face planting & snapping my head back. I believe the extra catchment area of the helmet decreased penetration of the water surface & may have contributed to the severity of the injury. I'd bought the helmet to keep the wind out of my ears & for a bit of warmth in winter. But stopped using it after that incident...good to have a use for it again.
