i know on a shorty with the old fcs plugs(the round ones) that if you could not see the plugs on the deck that were not installed properly?
on my hp longboard i have them,but that is a super thin tail and rails...on big yellow not a thing(thickness)

And why not? We're a bit spoiled for good Lb shapers in town... 
...yeah I agree they look ridiculous on a longboard. I prefer not to use them on shorties either these days.
