6'6" grant miller waterskate:
Went to noosa over easter- first time surfing outside of SA- after sussing out the 200 strong crowds at Tea trees the day before I got up at 4:30 and was the first one to hit the water- paddled out in the dark, caught a few crowdless waves before people showed up and had fun dodging them on a few when they did show up :)
(got to love that early bird mental edge)

8'8" DC paddleboard:
This monday morning- only one out at reef break called triggs, catching little waves, when some surfers showed up as the reef got too shallow I left them too it and relocated to the beach break just north (southport) and the waves were bigger but too hard for the surfers to paddle onto. Lost count of how many waves I caught. Went In when the wind turned it choppy only to get a phone call from a mate and headed out at another reef break on the mid coast: three poles- caught a few frothy monsters picking lines between the bumps and managed to stay standing in the chop (most of the time).
6 hrs of water time- still feeling it in the shoulders, oh yeah- keep ripping everyone! Feeling the stoke.

Today was right up there. I got waves on the short board this morning at first light (stole these pictures from www.saltmotion.com - amazing photographer - hope Joel doesn't mind!!!!!!) at Curly and then came home and took the SUP out at Manly. Cool crowd in the water, nice and clean as the tide went out. There was a couple doing tandem surfing - they ripped it up - full style points. Then I went up to the Pole at Dee Why with the short board and grabbed a few more. Finally some fun banks up that way. Not an epic day but in terms of what we have been getting here of late it was great. 5.5 hours in the water by the time the wind changed. Stoked. And for some reason the crowd was minimal at every location. Now that is weird!!
