nothing like making something look really gay, serious if you can't stand on a certin Sup just get a bigger one!!!! wonder how easy they would break off if you landed on it. Nothing againts corban they make some good stuff and if naish did this i would say the same thing...
You getting some Dog you could ride a 8ft board if you did![]()

Jacko
I can see some side fin boxed getting ripped out with those things.
I hope they're flexible.. Good idea but they would have been better to have it as a one piece doing both sides together to avoid damage to the board.
At first I thought it was one of Mark Paul's Kanga-cock fins.. ![]()
DJ
Trainer wheels for SUP.
Jacko, do you sell swell. I've had a week off and flat as a S@#t Carters Hat !!![]()
What a classic, says alot for the quality of the boards, it must put enormous pressure on the box.
I might get a set for the next good swell at the Alley and ride through those grumpy Mal heads , Like Beh Hur in his Chariot ......![]()
Seriously I think it's a great idea for the new punters. It basically makes any board rideable for a beginner.
Rob
I think it is a brilliant idea.
I have seen so many guys start out in the sport with a beginner board only to have to sell it in a couple months once they got better.
Now you could buy a ripper and use these when starting out and just do away with the wings once you were good enough.
Although does have limitations but bear in mind it is a tool for beginners.
What about just using some sort of support float out to the side of the board connected to the board by spars, you could use one or two. Then maybe it would be easier to sit rather than stand, so the paddle would need to be shorter. I think this might then require a longer hull length.
Hmm, yeah I can see that being reasonablely popular...
My first reaction was to check the date... seriously, I asked myself if it was april's fool today...
I put my father in law on a SUP last month at Tally, he's 66 and never touched a board in his life... maybe I should have filmed him and put it on youtube and save some people some money...
With a bit of time and flat water anyone can find his balance and be fully confident within the first 2 weeks if they're new to it.
I think this product is rubbish as it advertises SUP as something harder to master than it really is. Even if you only have an hour you can get by with a 11" board.
Anyone serious about it should be clever enough to realise that they should buy a board that will be suitable sometimes in the near future once they've progressed, it might make it a bit harder to start with but it pays off later.
What worries me with this product too it that we might see people in places they shouldnt be... I try hard to get out of the way and respect some kind of unwritten surfing rules everytime I paddle out, this just bypass them big style imo.
That's the most fugging stupid thing I've seen since the ankle reel leash (Sidewinder, I think it was called).
FFS-way too make SUP a joke.
Maybe if you need those you should re-visit your involvement.
im bring out my own version but instead of elephant ears with fins on im drilling outrigger poles into my board, you know for when i gets a little windy!!! ![]()
that'll do me, as a beginner myself i was looking at Coreban boards as an option to upgrade to from my old "pacifico", but if they need this sort of rubbish I will definetly look elsewhere.
