Couldn't disagree with you more. This is an excellent idea, which we have also toyed around with a bit. Peasey (Secret Agent) made a "tri-hulled" machine from a single foam block recently and it also looks like a great concept.
Whether this looks like a board or a boat its irrelevant as it has most of the elements needed to make a really fast board for downwinders. It has the right hull shapes, will be super stable and will be forgiving when the conditions are not ideal.
I would love to take a board like this out in some good runs. Nice work!
