Mike, really great shots. Love the backgrounds, ships, the bridge, yachts. Love the start and the ones of Jacko and Annabelle going in opposite directions. I just don't know how you managed to operate your boat and camera in those conditions. Great work.

Yeah as Dave said above, such great timing here and a perfect document of the conditions with Annabel's legs out of sight below the swell. What you don't see is Jacko is facing into a 20 - 25 knot wind and Annabel is battling the side chop to stay on a 24" wide board.

Awesome photography Mike!

As DJ said, it depicts how tough it was. I don't think I've ever seen so many paddlers resorting to knee paddling entire upwind legs!

The second photo......is it a pack of lemmings waiting to jump off the cliffs, or perhaps a religious cult with leader Big Dave in the middle on the microphone urging them all on...?

Religious cult...all the unworthy kneeling before the high priest and priestess [}:)].

The quality of the camera makes some of these walk on water shots look seriously photoshopped. At least you can't be accused of blatant board pimping when you can't even see the board. Sensational photos, keep them coming!

No wonder I came last. I "Stand Up" paddled the whole course. The rest of you are all disqualified!

Those are amazing photos that really capture the rugged conditions.

Heh Mike, they are fantastic photos, great steady camera work, considering when I went past you the front half of your Tinnie was out of the water, If I was behind the camera there would have been lots of shots of either the sky or water.
