does any body know if any 1 sells paddles that are suitable for kids 9-12 year old ie shorter shaft smaller blade less expense....

Canoe shops sell plastic paddles drill out the rivets and extend the aluminium shaft to required lenght total cost $40.
Ask people if they have a broken paddle as most of the ones I see have broken at a length that useful for a kids paddle.

The Walk on Water guys (doing Simon Anderson, Luke Short [LSD] and their own WOW brand) do a variety-fairly priced too.
