What sort of paddle was it? Looks half wood, half carbon with a bit of ali thrown into it?

At last you can get rid of that crappy heavy pile of ****, even though it is a Naish paddle.. 
The new 8" white blade carbon/glass Naish paddles are only about $250 new and are light and long and have good flex.. They also a nice new shape handle.
Get your self an early Christmas present.

The paddle back was no problem in glassy conditions...
Loved that paddle...except for the handle, and it filled with water and blane edge had worn to a razon edge....but i'll try and get another one the same i think.
