My wife loves to cruise on rivers, lake or even the ocean when it's quite flat
She prefers paddling a 12'6 or a 14' than a wave board but she has a problem to handle them from the garage and on the roof, to the beach.....and think they are just to big.
So since she's is not competing and cruise usually around 8km/h I thought we should try smaller, lighter but still keep a nice glide feeling.
Here is the result. Of course it's not as fast as a 14 but as long as you don't try too hard to go over 10km/h it does glide incredibely well
Easy to turn, super stable easy to carry it's a very good training board to improve fitness and technique
She is on the moon so I am very happy as well

i had a little surf on this sweet little number after i did some work down that way.

i was keen to kick turn it and well it, handles like a sub 9' er agility wise

go through a wave and that wide tail is there for you.

it's still a little down wind/ flatwater board, but i pulled onto a pass low tide wall as we were paddling back.
i could stay on the wall a lot longer than i'm used to. i then straighten out, pulled around a foam section and i was off again.

i didn't press my luck a second time and got off and kept paddling down to the surf club.

i had a lot of fun on this board
cheers
