We have been using Ulead Video Studio for years with videos the kids make, the latest version seems to have finally solved the problem of constant crashing(my wife made a half hour video that didn't crash once). You can download a free 30 day trial. We've been using it with XP Pro no idea how it goes with Vista. You can get fantastic results with a bit of time, I'm crap but my wife and daughter are guns so if you get stuck just send a PM for free tech support! The latest 11 plus (?) is by far the best so don't be tempted by a cheap older version.
