Nice, at 29sec you just get a glimpse of the paddle piercing through the wave, he did well to keep it together.

Black obsticles too right! Geez, tons more crowded that when I surfed there in the late 80's & early 90's, and back then I thought it was crowded!

These days the crowds are a constant. Being a card carrying basque mafia member gives Peyo an access pass.
For the rest of us, a bit of a bridge too far. Unless it's 2' and onshore

The waves are smoking and he has earned the right to be there!
A couple of years ago I got Mundaka in similar conditions for two days and I couldn't believe how good the waves were. It was like surfing my beloved local break of Supertubos, Peniche - but for like 300m!!!it's insane. You just can't miss it.

As for the danger it may represent to other surfers in case he loses control: The rest of the guys, when waiting for waves should probably think that they should not interefere with waves being surfed and they should probably sit a bit wider.
The problem at Mundaka is that the wave is s good that you get two options: either you stall a bit to get slotted and risk being burned by other surfers that don't believe you can make the sections, or you race it to the shoulder to keep them off your wave and miss the barrel. And believe me when I say it's a hard call!!

Jus goes to show punks on short boards dont own the ocean if your in control no worries bra

I agree, I don't think that kook bailing his short board mid wave should be out there either...........

Shortboarders can't control their equipment. It's dangerous being in the water with them. A rider out here took a shortboard to the face three weeks ago, required stitches! Just a matter of time...
