Hey Mark. Good news. The guys from Ocean Addicts picked it up in the dark. I will get it from them tomorrow and get it back to you this weekend. There is a bunch of Gold Coasters coming up for the National Outrigger Titles at Mooloolaba. Will give to a Currumbin guy to bring back to you.

got 3rd on the 14 x 29" and i'm no spring chicken i'm happy. first and second were two oc paddlers. ones a hot kid/ maybe twenty ish,he paddled a hobie 14'. the other guy was huge and had muscles i didn't even know existed on humans. very intimidatinghe paddled the 14 x30'

however i had a ding dong battle with a jav, so dj, it looks like its as quick

So Goliath was beaten by David on the Hobie ! What was Goliath on? Is the Hobie just that quick ? [:)

Good to hear the paddle is found. How was your time tonight, I hear you were 1st women in, well done!

Hi Gords. I paddled the Hobie 12'6" Elite in the trial yesterday. My time was 32 mins 56 secs for the 4.1km. I was happy with that time being on a shorter board. Out of the 11 times I've done this course over the last couple months this was my 5th fastest time. The other times were on a 17'. The conditions play a big part also in the times as sometimes it's a glass off and other times it's a 25kt head/tail wind. But overall the little 12'6" went unreal !

I'll look forward over the next few weeks doing it on the narrower Hobie 12'6" Race. Will be interesting to compare those two boards. Overall it was a fun afternoon with lots of new faces turning up on all kinds of boards.

Love your description of David and Goliath. Classic!! Must tell those blokes about this forum. They'll get a good laugh.
