a sup for my wife ... she is looking for a used sup as a board for the flatter surf days

anyone with any second hand boards for sale ?

she mainly surfs mals when we have waves and has a surfed sups for couple of years also

dont need a paddle, dont need a bag

coreban / naish / starboard... 9.5 to 10 foot

dont want to spend big dollars

I know nothing of ECS boards, but "built in the same factory" is not the same thing as "built with the same quality". A factory can use different materials and processes for different brands, and differently skilled workers (skilled workers are a very limited resource). If a brand ask for a lower build cost, it can do so by choosing cheaper materials and taking less time and care building the boards. Time building boards is money.

Again, this is not to say that ECS boards are bad (or good, I just don't know). Just that the phrase "built in the same factory" means nothing.

Bit more rocker than i like, but these boards are stable as can be.
Unfortunately, it's a bit like longboards (and you have great taste there). You get what you pay for. But then there's something to be said for a beaten up old cheapie that you don't have to worry about. Still, if you have the cash and are ready to quickly swoop a bargain appears now and then. That Mana looks bashed around, but then you could probably sell it down the track for not much less than you pay for it. (Haggle like hell! )
By the way, I used to live out in your neck of the woods and it's great fun cruising around that big dam on a SUP, especially at sunset. And especially when the beaches are overcrowded and onshore. I have the 10'6.5 Nalu - great longboard style SUP and a 9'1 F-One for the beachies (and a couple of classic malibu surfboards and an 8'1 McT). Anyway, cheers! Dave

My son bought a mal from ECS and it is brilliant. Good finish, great price. He has been on it most days and there is not a mark on it.
