Sorry to say it but if your using a legrope in flat water paddles means that you can not swim? if you must use a legrope in flat water paddles & don't want any drag use the Balin Downwind coil legropes named after yours truly (be interesting to read the forum burn after this comment)

Fiji is flat today but last saturday restaurants was just pumping all day 4-6ft with only 8 guys out

bit of pity just found out about it now tho

as just bought normal long one , oh well can stick it on mal. Yes i can swim and have thought of not wareing rope , but slightly over 50 now and if hart attack strikes while in tide off shore ,at least they may find bits of me hanging under board to bury, if sea creatures leave part of leg and foot in stinking booty,
