which gerry lopez board to dw after surfing/dw ing my new 12'6 gl manu kai today- the 14' or 12'6

it's simply the best dw 12'6 i've used. easy to use, quick pick up and links like a bigger board. even in the more stretched out bump sections. i was hooting a hell of a lot out there

normally i'm spent after dw ing 12'6 for reasonable length of dw run , but this is too easy.

both boards are giving me a lot of dw stoke. best part is you stand back behind the handle and put a foot forward for some more gas when needed. the planning speed and glide on theses boards in the ocean are a big feature

disc. not sponsored and paid the full price for these two boards

Use em both Lacey.
Take the 12'6" for a run and then go and have a mother run on the 14'.
Why settle for being unsure when you don't have too be I say.
Have fun.

Went for a downwind run todaty with Jake and Jacko , Jacko was kind enough to lend me a the new Fanatic 14. Wow i get why their is so much stoke about this board. Ive never really got into downwind because never had much fun always falling off not catching to many runs. Well ive chainged my mind this board just flew , i got some great runs that linked up for some long runs. Very stable , did fall towards the end but that was more me running out of batteries. Jake and Jacko said the run was OK , i thought it was the best ever , LOL

you should have a go on one of these, you wouldn't fall at all and you won't run out of batteries because they don't need much paddling- less is best on theses boards. i actually hold the board's back on the runs

How many fins has it got?

I reckon you should change them, might work better.

I've been on a two year long study hiatus in Micronesia and the Marshall Islands, comparing the effectiveness of standard stand up paddle board fin set ups compared to alternative fin set ups have in relation to currents, water temperature, climate, tidal systems, radiation and general long term global warming effects.

My journey so far has been most rewarding. The facts speak for themselves.

I'm expecting my doctorate on this fascinating subject to be published in the near future.

In my down time, I've been working on setting up my sup fishing rig for this year's snapper season - I've never caught one (a big one with the jewish looking bump on it's head). I'm determined to catch one this season. Anyone know of a portable fish-finder, that could be of any use on a sup?
