this is what i did on my naish 17 when i had it. the board in the photo isn't mine, so someone else had the same idea. the other side hasn't been cut down



the second photo i roughly drew in the slots i put in my board to make it easier for the ridge to fit between my toes. the slot was cut out of the grip on the peddle





a little carbon strip glued down just infront of the 'toe area helps the peddle slip back to neutral

I've been thinking about putting a slider under the steering arm on my Glide and this was what I was going to do.. but I'm not sure that I ever will do it because I find that it works fine how it is.. One day I might try it and see if it makes much difference.. I was going to stick that clear disc to the deck pad with some silicon glue.

dj, good idea. you might find your foot might slip on the disc. mick's dc 16 has a carbon strip i think!!!! i found the strip good because the peddle grips the deck grip with foot pressure , but releases easierly as soon as the foot pressure comes off. i just found it slicker

I think strip with a slight ridge at each end would be good so that you don't over push the steering arm resulting in a broken stiffening batten.

I'll make something up one day.. I'm thinking something like laminex rather than carbon.

if you do, see if you can get a bit of moulding wax and rub a bit on the strip now and then- works a treat
