Ouch, that's a nasty chop!!! You haven't had too much luck with those fins in the last couple of months.
Following DJ's suggestion, maybe you should just ditch the fins altogether and ride a finless! Haven't seen a finless SUP but theres always room for a first.
Hope it's flat down there for the next month so you don't miss out on too many waves.
hey guys thanks for your support just to clear up one misconception at the carona it was the tail of my board that split my heal not the fin ! ive been surfing for 30 years and they are the only two injurys i have had so ive been really lucky heres an after shot all patched up and flying high on pethadene ! cheers
nasty gash mate. hope it gets better quick. I can actually beat that. Sliced right foot open following a big stack on windsurfing kit pre christmas. I have the photo on wife's iphone and its pretty nasty. nurse in hospital is holding the flap of skin open and you can see the tendon. i wont post as its pretty queasy stuff unless anyone is super sadistic. 8 stitches, surgery and 2 nights in hospital. 1 month off the water. Fun
hey waz the way i cut my hand ! i took off on a3 ft wave on my back hand as i was dropping down the face a little bump threw me off and the board spun around fins up as i was coming down heading for my face and i put my hand up ! whack 1 side fin tothe right hand cheers

(So if you've never been hurt surfing I Bet you've got lots of surf mates telling you its karma and you should give up the SUP and stick to the short board! LOL Don't listen to them though!!!) Hope you heal quickly. cheers Mel
Mate thats a nastie one,but got to say one my mates got one in scroto bag,wasn't pretty,but he would have posted photos just like you,get well soon.ps im going to be up your way in early Feb.
