buying a new board i weigh 70kgs am 14yrs old and stuck between 9'3 or 8'10 naish. I own a oxbow 11 foot and need a board that rips and i can still still grow into. (Because paddle boards break the bank if your 14 and dont have a job) i added some pictures of the type of surf im working with

huge hurricane surf only a happens a couple times a year

just get the 8'10. there are plenty of heavier people surfing them. it looks ideal for the waves in the photos

I just demoed the 8'10 and 9'3.

There isn't as much difference in stability between the two as there should be, given the large difference in size. That is because the 8'10 is the newer design. The 8'10 is single concave, like most of the newer models. The 9'3 has vee running the Full length.

The 8'10 is a must have model. It just rocks. If they update the 9'3, it would also be a must have shape, but for now, it's one I liked.

I'm ordering the 8'10 and still thinking on the 9'3.

I'm 84kg. The 8'10 is maxed out at my weight.

I reckon you should go for the Naish 8'10" - especially at 70kg. It'll be a bit different to the Oxbow 11' but within a week or so you'll be shredding on the 8'10". Perfect board for you and those waves - IMO.

I agree the 8'10 for sure will be a great next step for you. The 8'0 might be just a bit to big a jump.

I am 75 kg and ride the 8'0 but i have also progressed down through board sizes to get there. 8'10 would be the perfect board for your next step.

the 8'10 is siiiiiiickkkkkk!!!! super stable for a board that size. i used to ride an oxbow ages ago and found the naish boards way more stable.

HI,
Go for the 8'10 for sure, with your body weight and various surf conditions that board will
rip!!
