It would be very interesting to hear everybody's point of view on this topic.
I am not talking about "if we make a mould we need to make that many boards the same shape...." and "if it is shaped we can change it more often..."
We all understand that
What I would like to understand is:
As a paddler, what are your perception and your expectations for each boards and as a board buyer, what do you feel are the pros and cons of each boards.
If you can specify if you have paddled both category of craft (even if it's not a SUP) please do. It will help to understand if we are talking about belief or perception

I've only tried two hollow boards so not much experience with them, but on paper:
Pro's: Lighter, potentially stiffer (good for racing), can be stronger as more glass can be used and still be lighter, can not get water logged and will therefore hold resale value nicely.
Con's: Double the price.....can have that wobbly feel on the deck depending on design. Can sink in some instances....

Weight is a big issue, especially in racing and I'd imagine a lot more hollow boards coming out in future.

I have an Aircore hollow 14' dwer. Sick board more responsive than foam boards due to light weight and being stiff as full carbon.

the need to have the right shape and some thing that will not change 12 months down the track a proven design .
weight big part of it .
the range will be hard crew who want a 25 inch race board flat water and crew who want 30 inch DW board or 29 28 27 were will it stop its not like you can have all these molds hanging round $$$$$$$$$$$
for me just love the idea of the custom board .

got to love the custom Fasttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
