Hi everyone,
wondering if any one has some advice about fin options for a psh 9'3 ripper.
I'm still surfing with the stock fins that i got with the board, it has a thruster setup and i have have a 7" centre fin with fcs G5's. I would like something to loosen the board up and was thinking 5.5" centre fin but not too sure about sides...

any advice would be welcomed.

Depends on the type of surfing you want to do,Im running with what you mentioned,Im 80kg and love that setup in bigger waves as we have had the last 3-4 days, you could go get an fcs adaptor for the fin box and put your standard thruster setup in,which will loosen it up, Arh the joys of finding what works Goodluck..

You need to try the H2 Large rather than the FG7 with this set up if you are still riding this board Casso. They let you hold the board on rail longer.

Yeah, the H-2s would have been nice - but they were too expensive at the time (and I already had the FG-7s from my shortboard.

I sold my 9'3" Ripper a little while back.

Thought so, I've seen some of your current boards getting made. Nice indeed.

I use a 4.5 or the 6.0 futures for centre fin and 4.0 glide fins for bites also put in sunny garcia for bites in larger surf.

Ended up with 3 x G5s using the fcs adaptor - seemed to work well in all size surf, you don't want too much fin area when it is big anyway.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I think i will try for the G5's all around. I did find someone on ebay in the states selling future fins pretty cheap, They had some 4.5 and 5.5 centre's for a regular fin box.
Cheers Scott
