Thats what ya get for living in the most populated strips of coast in the country. But at least you have waves - forgotten what they look like.

Same here on the Goldy, thats the downside of living in popular tourist destinations. I had a day off recently and decided to hit Byron for a surf......chockers full of backpackers (sooo dangerous)
But the upside is that we get regular decent surf!

Don't want to sound like a bastard, but just had some really nice waves at Bells.... 4 people out, sun out, very clean with hardly any wind, 20 degrees in the water, board-shorts.... This morning's rubbish SE swell has been replaced with a nice little SW ground swell....

Rubbish this morning, but really nice now....

I think what Simondo meant to say is - you definitely don't want to come down to Vicco. It's always crowded, cold, raining and mush. Best look elsewhere.

The only way you could have a quiet surf at Noosa in the last 30 years was if you were wearing very good earplugs or it was 10 foot+ All of us Victorian's have moved up there. Beware of any body that says they are local. There were only about 1000 of them in the late seventies/early eighties.

Yes Rosscoe, thanks for correcting me. The water is colder than a mother-in-laws kiss, and your feet and hands will bind up with ice cold arthritic pain...... Nothing to see in icelandic Victoria, move along......

PS Ross - lucky you got to that 14 footer before me !!
