Never been to NZ but as you have posted it has an amazing landscape.
Sure does , ill go back again for sure , next time with a board.The countryside is literally alive with all the hot springs , thermals ect.Plus i seen only a small part , the best was being on a 2000 odd foot mountain in some snow and same day being on an awesome beach.
Id say its been my favourite holiday spot so far.pretty cheap too.$20 bucks a night to stay at a great caravan park.
$2.50 a Kilo for greeen lip mussels , yum.
