We just got two of these thanks to Dale prior to heading off to do the Molokai ,
full custom DC carbon
16 x24 flat water racing machines ,Galvo raced his to second in the whale bone race on Saturday in the ocean first time on it only to be beaten by Marcus on the DC 14 foot flat water which has a bit more of a tail so a bit more stable in the chop , think Galvo may have got him if it was a bit further .
Took mine for rip today on the river over the Blackwell reach 4.68 k track just to com-pair my times from before , well i was blow-en away 9 min quicker 27.33 doing it solo
yes there was a slight out going tide but also had head wind to knock into .
So the big question now is OPEN BOARD CLASS yes or no?

P.S and this board has no wake so good luck wake riding it

Very nice.. Interesting rail shape.. That should help stop water sucking up and onto the deck area.. It looks tippy.

Yes you would describe it like a aircraft carrier over hang little bit of water washes in there from boat wake chop then funnels out the back Dale has very suttle low spot to the out side rails ,
Also by moving one foot back and putting to the out side edge and one quick deep stroke the board tips a bit mor and water runs out , at any time today I would have had only 200 grams of water in their .
DJ also forgot to mention this board with grip and JM fin only ways 11.5 kg so light .
And yes Tippy but not to bad that rail over hang like traing wheels saves you .also road it backwards with that tail was quite crazy fun got to get some vid of the no wake for the douters and board speed the garmin 910 let me down today got to remember to charge those things

Think of the wash that comes from a surf or ocean ski, it's pretty similar. We've tried to jump on Dales wash as he flies past and it is pretty much impossible.

The fast fast fast guys can make a door work and win but when regular people start dropping times there's something going on.

It always amazes though how little difference in comparison ultra fast designs make to elite paddlers. Why do fast designs help advanced intermediate people more?

Not into flat water paddling one bit but that looks like a weapon on ya Dale nice looking design and that weight sounds epic gotta love a great custom!!

Geez this pic brings back some memories Stimo - Blackwall Reach! ... I can almost make out the "white lady" in the background , used to chuck Bombies off there when we were young tackers

And the Point Walter sandbar too - classic spot - cheers for those pics.

yep great spot many early morning rowing that track and some very early windsurfing day on the doctor with a converted old 3 stringer mal with foot straps screwed into the wood Now full circle flogging my self on a sick sup 31 years later just feel like yesterday

Talk it up stimmo the tide was ripping out at about 15 knots, I had a paddle the same day thought I was going alright too....lmfao

Open Board Class all set to go, you just need more than 3 boards enetered and you have a divsion.

That is a sharp looking board!

Lots of puffing this morning when I saw you out, did I see a 14' board go past you with the bearded one on board?

Yes Marcus got me at the end 3 board lengths stii quite quick time Marcus 32 min 20 sec I think and I was 15 sec behind that nearly got him at the bridge as the current tried to buck him off Violleta paddled it for her first time on dc dw in 43 min so that was a good go too

I have a 12 ft Savage deep hulled tinnie with a 25 hp Evinrude outboard that will do that anytime. Anything over 14 ft should be classified as a boat

. Bloody Queenslanders anything to make a buck!!!

. Do you have to have an articulated license to transport it?

Seriously, Good looking water vehicle though if thats what you're into!!
