In fact he has been trying to play with it a bit like you for 4 years and once he knew what he wanted went to see the guy that built the hydroptere
He told him what he needed and the engineer came out with the design and the autoclave finished product. It is a very fine hollow carbone finished product
Initially it has been done for windsurfing.
He went to the speed week of DOUARNENEZ and everybody was blown away how quick it was compared to huge crafts made for speed.
Then he put this foil on a stand up and was amazed by was he was able to do.
When I went to see him last month nobody apart from him ever tried it on a SUP.
Your feet are not attached to anything so there is a serious safety issue there. (ask brian keaulana who injured himself recently trying to do the same).
Bruno sells the foil with the windsurf board as a package.
For the SUP side of thing he does not know how to sell it since he is aware it's not made for everyday use and could be very dangerous. You have to be almost only on your own, far away from anybody.
I wanted to try to see if I could use it for downwind more than anything.
I am not sure I would be welcomed with that on my normal surfing spot!!
