a twinnie skeg fin!!!! gusty call. i've wondered what that would be like on a dw board

I built the same board and put a fin box in because I couldn't see any advantage in the twin skeg set up.

It goes OK in small waves so I guess it might have downwinder potential.

Would be interesting to compare with the twin skeg as it might give more directional stability, but more wetted surface usually equals more drag.

I couldnt help wondering why termite replied to a topic called WOOD.So I decided to look for my self,and Im glad I did.Good vid and nice looking board of termites too.

if the skegs weren't to big, two of those might add up to the fin area of a normal dw fin. maybe it could work enough to put up with a touch more drag

Thanks DJ for posting the video.Beautiful job on the board ,guess it helps to have a fully equipped wood working shop at your disposal.Wonder what the paddles weigh?...Cheers
