Maybe thats why at one stage there were 18,000 Victorians moving up to Queensland per year !! sorry guys It been just lovely here just a bit hot though so we all have to go for a swim/SUP/Wsurf in our nice cool ocean and damn that sands been hot! hehe

But you know what "Brooko and Robdog" seem to get all the good waves because the truth is the wave department has been pretty ordinary here, A few good earlys and thats it , but this w/end thats all about to change ! Ha Ha Check out the forcast!

I've kitesurfed so much my poor old body is plumb tuckered out. My face stings from the sunburn and even breathing is tiring.

The other day there was not much wind and the thought of lugging that ****ing great fat SUP down for a paddle in wind affected slop was not at all appealing. Fortunately a late blast came through and I got to go kiting.

I'm looking forward to winter when SUPping will be a pleasure and you won't see 20 guys sitting in the slop in the Crunchies web cam.

Just spent all morning on the water on the Goldy and it was perfect. Over 30deg, nice breeze, and a few small waves to have some fun on.

Summer is right here.

Sorry to rub it in DJ, but the weather is fabulous in Jervis Bay too! 25-30 degrees every day, sunny skies & crystal clear water full of wildlife (Giant stingrays, playful dolphins, huge flathead, schools of blackfish & garfish etc etc etc)!

Sadly no waves but we have found other ways to amuse ourselves!!!!

Well it's been great weather over here in SA, 25 to 32 degrees some wind in the afternoon but fairly calm mornings. Today i caught up with a guy named Adam from Adelaide, we met at a town called Wallaroo which is about half way for both of us, to go for a paddle (sorry guy's still not far enough south for waves but there was a bit of swell to catch a few runners)

Here's a few pic's of the area on this beautiful new years eve day.

There's also a lagre marina waterway there that we paddled the whole length of, it was a great day and good to finally have a paddle with another SUP rather than the lone journey's or the kayakers i've being doing it with.

After a cat nap this arvo i'm ready to enjoy the night, so i hope everyone has a great new years eve.

Are you guys talking about "good weather" in this place? Something about sunburnt country? Droughts and flooding rains?

Brrrrr. The weather's so cold in Melbourne I might have to put on a cardigan.

Not last year it didn't. It was stinking hot from boxing Day till New Year. I spent 5 days paddling the Murray Red X Marathon and it started at low 40's and finished 48 on New Years Eve and that's hot even for a a Queenslander.

Now there's a Challenge for a SUP paddler, be the first person to SUP the RedX, 404 kms in 5 days with the flow of the river.

You can read about it here if you need some info on how to go about it. I recon it's doable on a SUP.

DJ, Summer finally hit Sydney a couple of days ago, it could be on its way south.
