Will do. I'm thinking of blowing the dust off the shorty but will probably waste a good weekend of
waves if I do that. But could be a bit windy to enjoy the SUP.

Surf down here in the 8 -10ft range with occassional larger bombs.

Only one SUP on a naish 9'8(???) out on point danger supported by his mates towing in.

real windy (off-shore) and out of control though.

Amazing he hasn't been blown out to tassie.

He has been smashed a number of times by larger sets. Gutsy.

Conditions are pretty poor for sup'ing.

Suped outer reef off Pt Addis this morning with my nameless grey ponytailed mate. Very windy. Some amazing sets coming through. Great to surf some size. Wished we had a camera.

Last four days have been surfing inside Port Phillip Bay. Yesterday had some size, today was just ridiculous huge and windy. Went to a mysto secret spot deep inside the Bay only to find its no longer a secret. Seems Fishos was a bit busy so half the Torquay log rollers turned up. Sat on the beach and watched my young bloke get hassled snaked and harrassed in his back yard. And they reckon Stand Up Paddlers are greedy. Not happy!
Cheers

Which board were you on? Were you with another guy?

Got some good waves myself on the eastside but as usual no photos.
Dawny tomorrow, hopefully everyone surfed today and stuggle to get out of bed.

Hey Sparx! went to Fishos as well to watch all the carnage, I counted 50 plus in the water at one stage, seemed like the whole coast was there. Surfed a certain light house in the morning, double over head, big and gnarly, heaps of water in those waves, still got water pouring out of my nose 8 hrs later.

Cheers,

Leon.

Leon you Lurka
Have you done your East Coast Odyssey yet? Picked up the new shooter? If so hows it ride. Finally managed to squeeze a newey out of Fordy, going to sit down with him on monday and draw it up. He's got the blanks sitting in the factory ready to rock n roll. Reckon tomorrow could be every bit as epic as today although it looks like it might be a tad windy! Give us a bell next time you're over this way and we'll go surf. If you're coming off the ferry you gotta drive right past my front door.

Can't believe none of you got some photos.

The cams at Westernport looked amazing. I would have been out there but still no car.

Just for you adolf
Shot round home this morning when I went to get the papers. Not much surfing but you get an idea of the size and wind.

Lonsdale Front Beach totally washed out

A view across the heads to Portsea

Lonnie Bombie going nuts at epic size

Spot X protected from the wind, shot from the clifftop

nice photos Sparks, imagine the trip across Bass Strait on the spirit of Tasmania a pretty wild adventure, the coast's energy comes to life when the swell hits, a natural high

Holy crap Simondo
That is freakin awesome. Same size on the Bombie here but nowhere near that organised.
Okanui, maaaaate I wouldnt want to be on the Queenscliff, Sorrento car ferry today let alone the Spirit. Its that big!!! Mud Island and the Swan Bay sub would be going nuts. If anyone has a tinny and a death wish... good luck!

Hi Bnaccas,
They were amazing waves yesterday. Hope you got some good ones and not too many hold downs!
I was riding the PSH Ripper 8'9, stupidly I had it set up as a quad but still had an amazing time. My mate was on a Naish 9'3, he was ripping.

I was standing right next to Steve Ryan as he took this photo. 1st photo. My photo, 2nd one, is a split second after, shooting on the wife's Slim Line Pocket Camera (My Medium Zoom Olympus needs a new Olympus rechargeable battery). Steve was shooting on a Pro Bazooka Lens. Same angle, same wave.... Different moment, different crop.

Steve Ryan's photo was posted on Coastalwatch.com.au

Enjoy it again !

A spike in swell saw some sizable sets rolling in along Victoria's Surf Coast yesterday. As Darren Wilcox bottom turns off this bomb, you've got to wonder what the two surfers paddling over it are staring at... Photo: Steve Ryan.

NOTE: I previously reported the surfer as probably being T-Ray (Tony Ray).
