It's best to just stand still watching and trust the master will miss you.. Even if he does throw a bucket of water at you as he goes past..

Sorry to get in the way of a good pic Cam..

I think the photos turned out great. It was a fantastic morning. I wish I got there at dawn like the rest of you guys. I also wish I brought my 14' glide along - I was in awe of that guy who had the smarts to bring his down to PRK.

As for best pic quality I use photoshop and the defaults are usually fine: resize the image: image>resize enter width 1024px, check the boxes - scale size, constrain proportions, resample image, select bicubic sharper (best for reduction), and set resolution to 72 pixels per inch > ok

then choose use save for web and other devices and save in jpeg format, check optimised, choose maximum, and make sure quality is set at 100%. Then upload them to a free photo service like flikr, photobucket or something else (sorry Laurie, but your site lacks the ability to properly manage photos - ie delete???) and then link them to seabreeze.

Oh yeah, Cammo, I know you were rabbiting on about something about the vent screw when I bought your board. Well guess what.... I lost it. It's an odd size and DJ said you have another. Can you keep it in the glovebox and give it to me next time I see you?

The 14 runs along the bank very nicely

They surf the small stuff way better than you would expect. Every now and then the board gives you funny mixed messages though. In some rail to rail transitions / cut backs, I think the long sharp rails are occasionally fighting for a slightly different drive angle to the fin (in my opinion).... But other than that, they are awesome cruisers in long small point breaks.

I't really just a bit "lala".
From the net;
Alaia surfing is the “lala,” defined by the Hawaiians as “the controlled slide in the wave face....
La La is the ancient Hawaiian word for alaia surfing. It is about sliding across the wave and then breaking trim into a sideslip or a cut back....

Thanks Oliver, will try a few of the things you mentioned for uploading the pics when I get the time next,
and will have vent screw in car but I don't have another complete plug that was in your board I only have the original with the hole in it for the gortex valve setup.Should be at Sandy on Sunday for the third time lucky Cerberus Paddle.

After jumping off the 8'7" (mark2) that I have been riding it was good to jump back on the 8'3".
The width makes it fun to tailslide.

It felt much bigger on the sets than it looks in the photos. I was thinking some of the big sets
were at least head and a half. Do you think so Cam?

Also Cam, good shots. As for resizing, most camera software will give you options were you can
select "Best Quality" and just resize the image by height and width. Just select 800 x 600 but
keep the quality at the highest option.

Hey DJ

Can you please advise us on this new style of dress in the water.....shorts over the wetsuit.

Is it 1. You are still hoping its summer time down there in VIC
2. You have a hole in yr wetsuit
3. You need the pockets for your camera
4. you are at the cutting edge of fashion and we will all be doing it shortly
5. its not a wetsuit but some "Skins"
6. its a legacy from your kitesurfing days

Any help would be most appreciated. he he he

Looks like it was a great day out. Thanks for the pic's Camo.

I reckon we'll all be doing it one day..

It does give you a pocket for a camera and/or car key etc.

Maybe it's something about men in tights that just doesn't look right.

I think it's a good look.. It could be much much worse..

Good shots Cammo and DJ.

Bnaccas - I think that, unless the photos are taken from in the water, the waves always look smaller in photos than what they seemed when you were out there.

You can see that here. The waves at PRK were at least half the size of the waves in the earlier photos, if not smaller, but because they are taken from in the water they look somewhat comparable. I think that most of the earlier photos were taken from up on the cliff above Bells, which is pretty high, and hence "flatten" the waves a bit.

Hey Cammo, I wouldn't mind getting some of the photo files at some stage. I would like to try Oliver's suggestions for photoshop.

The net nanny at work blocks photos from these sites. There's a way around it but it's a hassle. Images direct from Seabreeze load ok.

Also if you ever want to send someone big files or folders of photos etc then use:-
www.yousendit.com

Easy to use and means you can send some really big files/folders. Yes, there are other
sites that offer this service but I find YouSendIt pretty easy to use.
