Anyone got any reports on the new Watercooled 11'? Made by Surftech as is the Laird and seems a very reasonable price.

Looks very nice and fast, are you going to get a deckpad or just use wax? Be a shame to cover the super sleek design. How wide/thin/heavy is it?

I'd like to see a few more SUBs come standard with a carry handle or plugs so you can use the paddle to carry it. Because of their size I find they can be pretty awkward to transport, without some sort of carrying device - especially if there is a bit of wind. I guess you could always get a strap to carry the beast.

Why don't u try a smaller board.

Don't get down the surf enough to justify it and I'm a hopeless surfer.

I'm going to practice surfing on my new girlfriend (ULI inflatable) away from others and when I'm good/confident enough and know more, that's when I'll get a sleaker lighter board.

Looking at the photos you post in the Nth and West I realy do envy you guys living close to the surf.

Yeah, a fair bit heavier. I reckon around 16kg.

I do love her though, she's ugly and I can treat her like a slut, beat her, throw her on rocks and stuff, and she still loves me.

I do wonder how long she will put up with me?

Watching steamroller and from what I've heard in the UK forums, I believe the uli surfs surprisingly well. I'd love to hear one day what you pro's think of it.

DJ, you brought back some memories of my youth - surfing was always way too cool for me.

I was never into pulling bucket bongs, mixing Brandavino with sea water, making curtains out of beer can ring pulls for the Sandman or interested in going through a pointless apprenticeship as a grommet learning the ways of the surf and etiquite. I often found the attitude of many cool surfers very twee and narrow. Too bad many of these people now are fat, bald and suffer from depression.

Because of these experiences growing up around other surfers I'm kind of enjoying the fact that their popular surf breaks have become overcrowded with christian goat boarders, body surfers, boogie boarders, wind surfers, stand up paddle boarders, and geeks on inflatables who can't surf.

I want to learn to surf to out do some of the dancing routines I've seen from greenroom and wendy. I've got a couple of routines in mind. However, so far I've only been able to do "the toyota" - still need a bit of practice though.

Never been one to put another mans lady down, but dj gotta agree with you. In solid waves over head high uli has no rail to hold, you would be sliding and drifting all over shop, love olivers attitude though and he does seem keen to give the old girl ago and i like the way he said he can treat her hard and she handles it, if his down my way sometime with the biatch i will give her a solid seeing to for him and see how she handles the big ones
