I am praying to the surf gods for a few clean faces but alas nothing yet.

So crappy onshore with the Gopro trial will have to do for now laughs!

Nice one Phill.

No more annoying water droplets on the lens. Great. Which option did you go for to solve the problem?

Hey Casso,

Well couldnt get Rainex on good friday so used an old diving trick and just spat on the domed port the way you would to stop a diving mask from fogging and it lasted for 2 hours.

I am now bottling spit for sale on ebay shhhhhhhh dont tell anyone, I Call it Gopro snake oil. I think it needs a lot of carona in it to work properly laughs

oh and yup it isnt that warm in the mornings but the afternoon your feet thaw out and it was about 24.

Its a touro weekend so you get to surf with 75000 of your closest friends PMSL In the second clip I was on a smoker by my standards and one of the few waves that opened up. Then a short boarder must have taken a liking to me and dropped in so we got to meet intimately hence me stepping of the rail PMSL. Only his wetuit dry cleaner and he will know just how scared he was when he finally looked left and saw my ugly frame coming at him at mack 5.

Missed him by that > < much. luckily

Love it, but sounds like YouTube have scrapped your music?
I too had an onshore SUP this morning but needed to get out.
I will try and put the footage together but dont expect anything special.

Another trick I used when I did a fair bit of diving was to smear tooth paste on the internal glass. I'd then wash it off just before putting the mask on, seem to work well. Nothing worse than being 20m down having your vision impaired and continually clearing every 5 mins by letting water in the mask then blowing it out.

Hey Div,

Well hopefully tomorrow will be better than today with the N wind in the morning and there will be something decent to video.

I had a surf with Matty at main beach this morning with about 300 of our closest friends not lol.

Road trip on the cards for tomorrow until clean faces are found.

Phil,

You are going to love it when you get some good waves. I am still buzzing from my session yesterday on the PSH 10'6. Clean steep head high faces. I was surfing a section nobody else wanted because it was closing out, hoping to get in a couple of turns before getting cleaned up. I started getting into a rhythm generating more and more speed down the line, until on one wave I realised I was going to make it out and went flying up over the shoulder. I only made it out on maybe 4 waves, but they sure put a smile on my face. I am getting so much more out of this board than my previous boards, I keep pushing the boards limits, but the only limit is me.

You are obviously doing something wrong something wrong with your crowd minimization technique. I surfed for over an hour and nobody came hear me. I recommend wearing a hat and plummeting out of control down the biggest wave you can find, waving your arms madly and crashing spectacularly at the bottom. It seems to work for me.

Good luck with your wave hunting.

best stuff for fog and droplets on the lenses IS shampoo work heaps better than spit or toothpaste.

I'd be careful with the toothpaste, if the lens port is acrylic, toothpaste is abrasive and will scratch the s.... out of it.

I agree with MickV.. Don't use the toothpaste unless you want to polish out scratches..

Spit is good for stopping fogging but RainX will work better to keep water off the outside of the lens/casing.

Hey Phil, myself and a mate are looking at surfing the 13th Bomby either Wednesday or Thursday is you're keen. Will depend on what the wind does but tide and swell are looking good for a morning session.

Also to get around the missing music issue you can post on www.vimeo.com and the music you use should stay. The site isn't big enough for copyright issues yet.
