Wind forecast is vaguely 15 to 20 knots from the South, for Saturday afternoon. (Horrible for surfing - in my book, as opposed to 5 knots off shore, ruler edge waves, breaking nicely on all the points)....
Geelong & The Surf Coast Option - 3pm, Eastern Beach to Geelong Grammar School.
Melbourne & DJ's group - you should think about a Southerly Paddle on The Bay..... (hang on, someone said it's not a bay!)
If we do a Geelong run, preference is for 14 footers and above, perhaps 12'6.... 11'6 surf craft is pushing it.... (pun - pushing it... pushing water).
Vests and Leg Ropes....
I have a spare 14 footer.
Conditions are going to be good around the southern end of the "bay" - it was picture perfect this morning ![]()
Kristi says she's in, the Vortice is gathering too much dust and I can help with the turn board around.

I can pick you up at Grammar at 2:30pm DJ. Back at Eastern Beach before 3:00 for a 3:15 push off. Then you can head home from Grammar / "North Shore".
We might as well just lock that in. Even if only 12 knots, we will still sniff out some paddle power assisted runners.
What's the alternative? Adelaide v's West Coast on TV? I don't think so ! ![]()

(PS - Bring rubber....)
Actually, Lime Burners Point / Boat Ramp, is probably a better start point. Better alignment for the forecast.
Lime Burners Point to Lime Burners Lagoon.... Lime Burners Lagoon / Bay is actually right next to the car park on the beach, in front of Geelong Grammar (at the end of the run). Geelong Grammar Clock Tower is our visual on the other side.
Geelong Outriggers is at Limeburners Pt too.
