Unreal!! As a rough estimate I reckon the paddle is no longer than 72". What do you reckon Casso? It obviously works for Bonga, but what doesn't? Any mere mortal tried a paddle this short in surf?
Interesting isnt it DJ.... I posted a while back about surfing with minimal use of the paddle and got pretty much shot down. People were saying "its paddle surfing" meaning you must use the paddle. Everyone has there own style and I wish I had his. I figured the paddle is to get on the wave and the good riders let there surfing to the talking eg "Bonga". I guess the power of the waves a pipe mean he has plenty of speed also. Over using the paddle to make turns just looks a bit manufactured to me IMO. Its easy being fussy from the couch.
