Once again the ultimate SUP team relay event will takes place at the Corona Classic at Merimbula, this year.Now in its 4th year, the
Balmoral Paddle Surf SUP Off is now two events over two days.
Pit your teams skills over distance in the
Beach to Bar SUP Off on Saturday morning and your surf racing skills on the line in the final with the
Surf team relay on Sunday morning.Each relay teams consist of a max of 4 competitors. Each team must choose one board to take on the challenges of both races.
To open the event up to many more brave warriors we have a new division for 2012, so choose your weapons well!
11' (max length) FUN class
12'6 (max length) The 'TAD MORE SERIOUS' class
The winning team in each division (over both events) will recieve the perpetual Golden Paddle! There are also prizes in each division for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed teams.
There are
4 Carbon paddles to be awarded for the best performance by the girls, kids, 'best overall' and best dressed!
Worthy of any quest with sparkly gold thingy's at the end, the 'Best performance' will be measured in true 'Merimbula Classic Spirit', including - outstanding individual effort, sportsmanship mixed with courage and a sense of humour.
