The Performers or Mad Wax surf movies on DVD ?

Now that I am back out in the surf after a very long hiatus, I am starting to re-live my teenage years of surfing the early,etc. I am looking to find a copy of the 2 surf movies I grew up with. Anybody know of any stockist,etc ?

Scotty you are one of the most stoked people I have ever seen.

I think I have Mad Wax somewhere. Let me find it and see what I can do. Get back to you soon. If I remember correctly it was a bonus movie on another one I have. Kongs Island also.


P.S If anyone else has it send it through to him, my surf DVD and Vid collection is about 200 deep, it may take some time.

Ok Scotty, you are in luck my friend.

I googled Mad Wax as a bonus movie and it came up with Ross Clarke Jones's movie the 6th Element, pretty good movie. Walked to the DVD rack and by some fate of luck there it was.....

YESSSSSS...... It has Mad Wax as the bonus.

This bit in particular, Local grom, local waves. Butto at Kirra!

Good find CMC. That Butto ripped in his day. Where is he at these days ? Not sure if I heard correct that he's not doing too good these days ?
Nicky Wood was another grommet in same era.
Tell me CMC what was that movie that came out around 87 that had entire soundtrack with TSOL ? I recall Waimea at 25ft (which was the biggest they surfed back then).

That was Surf Into Summer Scotty. This Vid. I think Butto is just crusing these days, I heard he was working for his Dad as a picture framer and staying low.

There was a whole generation there of potential world champs that fell off the radar for one reason or another. Too many good times around here in those days and hard to leave, harder to stay in at night and sleep as well.

This vid was epic, I literally wore out the tape in some sections.

The old VCR tape eh. Technology has come along way since. They're talking about dvd's becoming more redundant with social media and movie downloads,etc. Scary.

Living in Lennox on top of the point. 1993-4. 18 y.o. Green Iguana got a flogging.

I remember Butto from primary and high school, one of the original Cooly kids. Guess the party life took him, like it did a number of others from back then.
